That would be amazing. I have been searching and searching for a nice rip of an original mono (as ever owning my own is out of the question). Best I've come up with is a pretty good one done to minidisc, but unfortunately MD is a lossy format and really only as good as a hgh bitrate mp3. I (and many others) would greatly appreciate it if you had a rip done of yours. All I see around are rips of the recent 180gram mono re-issue/boot? that is obviously sourced from the deluxe edition CD.
Would be nice if Pbthal could do a rip, but I actually made this request a long time ago, but I don't think the odds of someone sending their mint 1st pressing mono to him are very good.

I know... but there are also folks who trusted him the ultra rare and withdrawn Dylan Freewheelin' LP, which is worth $$$$s... so there is still hope...
Is there anybody who had the chance to compare the original vinyls to the remasters and can tell us of his conclusions?
I believe there is already a mono needledrop floating around somewhere (although I haven't heard it yet). I was really after a transfer of a first-press stereo LP - which oddly seems to be more scarce than the mono.
The only drop I have listened to was from the recent Sundazed Singles set, but unfortunately no vintage vinyl yet.

I downloaded this and found it disappointing. Vinyl groove bumps at the start of Sunday Morning (which is fair enough) but also clear audio (digital?) glitches on that track. Whether these show up later on the disk, I don't know. But the main problem is that whilst the top end sounds clear and bright, Run Run Run, for example has very little bass. This may point to a vinyl or transfer problem ? I don't know. The bass response on the second side (e.g EuroSon) is an improvement but I'd say that the Deluxe CD remaster is a lot better where you can really hear the deep rumble the bass throughout Run Run Run.
But I'd like to hear rips of the original (mono and stereo) vinyl too.

Thanks! It's not clear which pressing it is but the VU&N mono LP rip sounds very good and is worth getting.
In general I think the sequences of tracks (4 of them) that this person/blog has put together are thoughtfully done. They only deal with the Cale era but for anyone (like me) with a preference, you could do worse than checking them out.
I look forward to anyone who can make an original stereo rip available.
