Huge thanks to Chris and Gordon. Great stuff.

I think of it as a Moe and Doug Yule concert, and then I enjoy it.

Is it the same as the Final VU extra tracks, i.e. with a certain amount of FM flutter?

Well to be quite honest I thought that these tracks HAD been included on the "Final VU" box set but Chris told me they had not. I didn't sit down and listen to the box set to compare them (indeed my copy of that box set is still sealed - I have never listened to it!).

I got the cassette containing the 4 FM tracks sometime in the 1980s and had completely forgotten about it until Chris asked me if I had a copy. I then went and listened to it again and was surprised about how good the sound quality is.
I also noticed that Olivier lists these tracks as being from an "AM" source. The cassette I have is definitely in stereo, so unless VPRO were doing some "stereo AM" experiments, it must have been from an FM broadcast. (There is < 1 second of DJ talking at the end, so it is definitely from a broadcast rather than a pre-broadcast source.)

Maybe someone could compare the copy I sent to Chris (and which is now available through his blogspot) with the contents of the "Final VU" set and tell everybody what they think? (That would save me "unsealing" my box set just to check myself!)

 Sorry, maybe there was a communcation mistake. They are on the box-set. But Gordon's version is far times better in soundqualtiy than the box-version. Otherwise I wouldn't ask him. Arian told me some times ago, from a soundboard version of some tracks and since this time I was looking for. Believe me, I wouldn't ask, if I had the version that Gordon has.

If anybody wants that I shall upload the Final VU Boxset version too, I will do. Please let me know. Thank you.

hi Chris - the misunderstanding is probably mine.

But thanks for clarifying - I'm just happy to share my copy with everyone if it's better quality than what's otherwise available.
