Hi all,

Just to inform you all that http://www.velvetunderground.be is closing down around the end of August. I want to thank you all for your interest in the past and especially those who donated some money to keep it alive for two years now. You might have noticed that there wasn't too much activity in the last 6 months and a stable (and safe) torrent tracker costs around $125/year. I hope you will continu posting on DaD. If someone is willing to take over the databases etc. (you'll need some basic experience for that), send me a PM.

Many greetings,

Roofvogel

Seconded. I've got some great stuff from that site over the years, and I'm sure many others have too. Thanks for all the time and effort you must have put in to keep it going.

Thanks for all the work that you put into this great site Roofvogel.

I always had a problem with my ratio but will miss it greatly.

People like you help keep the music alive. See you on DaD.

Hey Roof,

Are you definitely closing it down, or do you want to try to raise the $125? I can cross-post this on a couple sites and definitely think we can raise the money. I mean, if only 25 people donated $5...well, ya don't have to be a math wizard!

Let us know! I'll be the first to drop my $5.

I'd gladly donate. Or, 12 of us at $10 each if not enough agree?

I would definitely donate as well. Also, if you'd need any graphics or help with the site maintenance I could probably contribute to that as well.

You can certainly count me in if you want to raise the money.

Would be a shame to see it go, if someone were prepared to contribuite their time and expertise, for the sake of $125/year. But as roofvogel said, it has been awful quiet for the last 6 months.

I'd also be happy to kick in some money to support this
