excerpt: "Shows Cancelled...
[Attorney] Dockser says the company's failure to provide the "AGo-Go" with electric power the night of July 3 was responsible for the cancellation of four shows. Andy Warhol's "Velvet Underground," the performing group, "is totally dependent on electric power to operate film and slide projectors, lights and displays and sound amplification," the attorney wrote.
The loss of power appears to be an "allegedly negligent act" of the company and persons serving it, Dockser added.
"A-Go-Go" operators claim they lost several thousand dollars in advertising and refunded $2.400 in tickets as a result of the blackout. Emergency power was unobtainable, they added."
Searches for further info about Cape Blackout gave:
--there occured a massive power failure on Lower Cape Cod 1967.Jul.03 at 5:29pm; and according power company officials most power was restored only by early the next day.
Searches for specific info about VU in 1967 at the A-Go-Go, brought contradictory comments on facebook:

Richard Bean [2022.Nov.10]: "Unfortunately, this gig did not go off... I know because I was waiting in the parking lot to go in. The Velvets were somewhat quirky in those days."
So therefore my question: Did The VU in 1967.Jul really play at The A-Go-Go, West Yarmouth [MA]?
Did The VU play 1967.Jul The A-Go-Go, West Yarmouth [MA]?
