Re: The Velvet Underground at the Boston Tea Party: Photographs by the Modern Printer
Is this photo in the book, with other pics of the modified Gretsch?

I was looking at the the booklet for the Super Deluxe 45th WL/WH set and this pic is captioned
Performing at the Boston Tea Party, 1967, where sixteen-year old Jonathan Richman snapped this photo
i also noticed that Sterling already has a Sunn amp here.

I'm guessing that photo was probably taken in nineteen sixty eight , not nineteen sixty seven
Re: The Velvet Underground at the Boston Tea Party: Photographs by the Modern Printer
only if it's in the book

Based on the amp and that Lou has a 12-string, which i thought they didnt get into until around the 3rd album
Re: The Velvet Underground at the Boston Tea Party: Photographs by the Modern Printer
oh yeah, didn't notice that - would explain the Sunn amp too

Great job to all involved, received it today
Nice to see the Cale era documented. Cool he played an 8 string bass at some gigs. Wish I'd been there.

Got mine today, after a bit of delay in France. Very happy with it. The Hagstrom 8-string bass was a surprise, yes, and Cale has another double-bound semi-acoustic bass in a few shots - not clear enough to easily identify, maybe an Epiphone Rivoli? That would be odd.
