Bill's Lou Reed cassettes

Post by lurid »

is there any interest in me sharing my transfers of Bill's Lou Reed cassettes? I've been sharing them on the Facebook Lou Reed Collector's Group and on Dimeadozen but I'll share them here as well is there is any interest. They are all either better or much better quality than the previously circulating copies.

Please!

Years ago I remember hearing a lot of the 1973 Euro tour on Wolfgang Valut that were quite good.

yes - Wolfgang's Vault bought the rights to the soundboard recordings that sound engineer Dinky Dawson made of the 1973 US and UK tours - they are superb.

Bill's cassettes are (mostly) audience recordings from Lou's 1972 tour of the UK. The recordings themselves have been around for years but Bill's copies are very close to the originals (maybe 1st gen copies?) and are far superior in quality when compared to the previously circulating copies.

I don’t have Facebook and my Dime account has been inactive for so long and my trade negotiations power has waned over the years! So yes, please!
