Sterling Memories

Post by falconwhit »

Does anyone know if Sterling Morrison ever started to write his memoir on the VU? I know this was mentioned a few times but I haven't seen anything about him having followed through.

His interviews were by far the most insightful and I would love to see what he wrote (if he ever did)

Isn't somebody helping his widow Martha write her memoir? I'd be interested in reading that since she was part of that scene way back in the early days.

Issue #5 of What Goes On, dated Sept. '96, addresses this. Replying to a letter from Adam Green of Chicago, the editor writes:
To our knowledge, only two chapters of the … book were completed.

I would pay to read even two chapters. Maybe another project for Ugly Things or a similar publisher?
