Probably nothign to get excited abou,t but the other day I saw an interesting tape listed in the Lou Reed Archive which i had not noticed before.
560540. Tea Party Audition. 1967 October
The tape is positioned between two '65 demo tapes in the archive list and it is placed in demos/rehearsals
Could it be a live audition recording? Or would this simply be a selection of music culled from the first albums?
Why would they need to audition in October when their first gigs at the Tea Party were May '67. The October '67 date could be wrong. Perhaps it is from earlier 67?

1967 Tea Party Audition tape?

Re: 1967 Tea Party Audition tape?
Sadly, if that number is not a blue link (and it isn't for this tape), there's no way for the public to listen to it, even if you're at the NYPL. I have no idea if this is intentional or if it is just a glitch. From the recent interview with Jason Stern of the Lou Reed archives, it sounds like he thinks everything can be listened to.

Interesting how some tapes have full information whilst this has nothing.
