Live Boston Tea Party 1967 songs
I burnt the soundtrack of the Boston Tea Party 1967 film to a CD to see whether I could enjoy listening to it on its own terms. Using a tracklist that someone else online wrote as starting point, I then tried to work out what songs are being played and when.
It's pretty hard as I cannot definitely hear Walk and Talk It, and am finding it hard to work out where 'I Heard Her Call My Name' starts and stops.
I think the clear changes in songs are timed as below. I think there something at 9:00 which seems to be another song not on the list mentioned but who can tell?
Any ideas?
1. 0:25 I'm Waiting For The Man?
?2. 0:45 Guess I'm Falling In Love
?3. 1:44 Run Run Run
?4. 5:24 Heroin
?5. 7:55 Walk & Talk ????
6. 9:00 ????
7. 10:06 I Heard Her Call My Name?????
8. 14:40 Venus In Furs
?9. 15:23 The Black Angel's Death Song
10. 17:06 Sister Ray

I did some eq on the soundtrack which bought a bit more clarity, and it is definite that walk and talk it is there - you can make out the words "walk it and talk it". There may be another track at the point you mention - but its fairly indistinct at that point, so its difficult to tell. I actually do sometimes listen to my version - you can really make out the rhythm, so it is listenable. I would give anything (almost) for a good recording of the band at this point that includes I heard her call my name and walk it talk it.

They band must have been at a high point at that time, from what I can hear. I agree a good recording with Walk and Name would have been amazing. Care to share your EQ'd version?

even though the sound quality is terrible, you can tell that Sister Ray absolutely rocks. I'd give my left nut for soundboard recordings of the band live during spring and summer of '68 when Cale was with them.

Please, I do hope there's no need to go that far. It was a very generous offer on our behalf, though!peppergomez wrote:even though the sound quality is terrible, you can tell that Sister Ray absolutely rocks. If only John Cale knew that there are people out here willing to part with various elements of their bodies in exchange for recordings of the band live. I'm sure he'd do something about it, rather than face things in boxes arriving in the post ? like some bad outtake from The Gift.

Only to illustrate the thread, there's this fun edited version (Loop&Run,Run,run, run) around that fits 15 min so take a deep look ..a sorta MTV vid, pretty cool indeed.

Taxine. The version of Run on there sounds much improved over the DVD I have. Thank-you for the link.taxine wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bdg0iLYG7Ro
