Beginning To See The Light with John Cale: other tracks ?

Post by Max »

Hello all,

BTSTL on the new WL/WH edition is quite pretty.

Would there be other tracks recorded during this session (with John Cale, right ?)
One can dream, can't we ?

Thx, Max

Hi Max,

I agree. Along with the alternative mix of IHHCMN , BTSTL is one of the two gems on the new set, for me. This version of BTSTL has a really lovely groove and a very different, mysterious charm compared to the 3rd Lp version. I like Lou Reed's vocal performance and I'm very intrigued by those lyrics. Has anyone worked out what they are?

Other tracks with Cale? This was the only unreleased track that had been rumoured to exist as far as I know.

According to R. Unterberger's book "WLWH - The VU Day-by-Day" the only known songs recorded at this session at TTG Studios, LA, are Hey Mr Rain Version1&2 and BTSTL.
