Mmmmm..well its a bit of mixed bag - i think they've been quite clever with the track listing and spreading any good stuff abit thin over the 3CDs. I wonder whether the rehearsals really are what they say or just a re-hash of official Quine stuff. Not really sure whether theres enough new stuff to persuade me to buy it yet.

Well, it SOUNDS promising, IF the rarer songs are as stated. But the recycled stuff?! I think that I will wait for the fan reviews to come in before I shell out the assumed $100, or ?65.

Hmmm - almost taken in by the hype again!
I'm not convinced this really is the same outfit that did the Dylan sets...
The Ostrich?- come on guys, this has been bootlegged continuously for 30+ years!
So disc 3 is the only one with anything new at all - no more Gymnasium, in fact less Gym than on the vinyl. And these previously unheard Quine tracks? they could easily be reshashed live 69. Will the demo of Ocean be the acoustic home demo? I'd like a good version of that tape in full, but this set is bullshit. Why not just do one CD? The whole 500 copies only crap is annoying too.

Yeah, I'm grouchy, but to me this a big letdown.

I totally agree with simonm - I just don't think these guys are trying. Remember their last release the BTP stuff promised to be high quality sources but was probably just sourced from dimeadozen.
The third disc 'might' be interesting or it might be just be rehashed Quine/Live 1969 material - but to squeeze 3CDs out of this material is bloody annoying and ripping us off.

Yes this is really disappointing! Since i heard from this boot some months ago i waas in hope we get someting really special.
But at the moment it seams this set has nothing new.
And the OSTRICH...the time to bootleg this songs are really gone

Well after the euphoria of the recent Gymnasium LP I was very disappointed with the tracklists for these three CD?s. I?m not very keen on 3-CD sets anyway unless the quality and content is consistent across the board. And this looks to be very mixed.

I love Sweet Bonnie Brown and would like to hear the rehearsals, but not enough to shell out the extortionate price that Scorpio usually charge. And there are too many 'unknowns'. Rehearsal tapes are interesting as historical documents but it?s not like anyone listens to them more than once or twice.

And as for putting the Ostrich on it. That?s just lazy.

I think the last post has hit the nail on the head.
