2008 LOU REED TOUR - Got yer tickets yet?

My ticket to the 22 April show in Washington DC is on the way!

Does anyone know if this will be a "Rock Show" or part of the Berlin Tour?

Steve Hunter's myspace page says non-berlin.

"Second, I will have the great pleasure of doing some East coast shows with my ol' bud Lou Reed this coming spring. These will be non-"Berlin" shows. That will take place in mid April/early May. And then in mid-summer, we will be doing some Berlin shows in Europe again....from mid June to late July. As soon as I have final confirmation of the dates, I will post them here. I am well looking forward to that and hope to see a lot of you out on the road!"

I got 8th row for 4/20. Anyone out there taping???
Hopefully a "non-berlin" show still will contain alot of Berlin tunes since Steve Hunter is there. I hope a "non-berlin" show means that it just won't have all the production (movie screen , choir etc...). I hope to still get some Berlin songs!

And we are being treated to a Japanese Noise Rock act, Melt-Banana, as the opener. What a let-down. I'd rather watch Fernando light his own farts.

Waiting to see if he will come to the New England area so I don't have to make the trek to NYC. Oh, and if I am not mistaken MG, that is Fernando lighting LOU's farts in that youtube video, before they had self-ignighting propane torches, which would have prevented a lot of burnt hair.

think I'm going to skip this time. I saw one of the "Berlin" shows at St. Ann's, which was great, but the shows I've heard since the ones that led up to Animal Serenade--which I also went to--have had a pretty uninterested and cranky Lou Reed.

I don't know how much I can take of the chick yelling out in a language I can't understand.

The last few times I saw Lou he didn't have an opening act at all. Before that he had really good ones
in Victoria Williams and Luna.
