VelvetUnderground Font

I've been trying to find the font used on the cover of Velvet Underground and Nico, but without success. Can anyone help?

Cheers.

The font is Futura Display BQ. Be careful though, there are alot of different fonts in the Futura family, you want that BQ extension. I've looked on the net, it's not available anywhere for free, if at all anymore, but there is a pretty convincing copycat font called Savings Bond that you can download.

Also, for those interested, the font used for both WL/WH and the third album is Kabel Light.

I beg to differ - the VU & Nico font is

American Typefounders Othello (designed in 1896)

I can't find it online anywhere but I found it in an old book called the Encyclopaedia of Type. I took a photocopy but the print quality isn't that great.
