Don't suppose I could request a couple more shows on DaD?

Even More Vengeance...(in fact Vengeance Vol.1 would be nice too!)

I tried to upload this to Dime, but it could not read the checksum file. So, go to Hungercity instead!

http://www.hungercity.org/details.php?id=2249

Lou Reed
Venue: Nice (Nizza), FRANCE
Date: 30 June 1980

Lineage: TDK IEC II/Type II Chrome cassette -> Denon DRM-540 -> iMic (16-bit) -> .aif -> Peak4 (remove DC offset/pitch correction/track splits) -> .flac (level 8)

DISC1 45:21
01. Sweet Jane
02. Real Good Time Together
03. Waiting For The Man
04. Coney island Baby
05. Alone
06. Vicious
07. Walk On The Wild Side
08. Standing On Ceremony
09. Heroin

DISC2 44:17
1. Love is Here To Stay
2. Berlin
3. The Kids
4. The Power Of Positive Drinking
5. How Do You Speak To An Angel
6. My Old Man
7. Keep Away
8. The Bells

DISC3 56:11
9. I'll Be Your Mirror
10. Band Intros
11. Pale Blue Eyes
12. Street Hassle
13. Rock 'N' Roll / Keep Me Hangin' On/band improvisation/Rock 'N' Roll outro

Another show provided by Christian. Glad to have ya back!!

I split the shows according to where the tape-flips were. I didn't wanna break up anything - even crowd applause. If you wanna play around with the discs, be my guest!

I now run all of my analog-to-digital recordings through Peak4's "Remove DC Offset" tool. From the Peak4 manual: "Peak4 will scan the left and right channels of a stereo file independently. DC Offset is usually caused by problems in the analog to digital conversion process. The result is that the waveform is not centered on the base line ? it is offset either higher or lower than the center line."

The cassettes I received were definitely pitched slightly slow, but other than fixing that I did not make any adjustments or use any filters. The only flaw I noticed was some "wobbling" in the volume during the first minute of "Waiting for My Man." Outside of that, this is a pretty good recording (B+)! My guess is that any circulating copies were made from the slow-pitched recording, so this is very likely an upgrade to what's available.

Oh, and you've never heard a Pale Blue Eyes done like this! FUNKY!

Trading

I think anyone who makes their music available for free should be thanked. However I am another one of the people who have been having problems with DAD. I can no longer access the site so it has been very frustrating looking through the lists of VU related torrents that have been posted here and not being able to get any of them. Therefore I would be very pleased to hear from any of you who would be prepared to do an old style burn and post trade. My list can be found at http://www.tapetrader.com/Jol1
I'm currently transferring some of my video tapes to DVD so I will be adding more stuff to the lists soon. I live in London by the way.

What is the issue you have been having with DAD?
I know they banned some clients recently including the client I was using because they hammer. I changed from Bittorrent to ABC and it did the trick.Maybe you have the same issue.

The problem is purely that DAD now refuses to recognise my log in details even though there saved on my computer so I can't be typing them in wrong. I no longer have access to the email account I used when I registered. Anyway I haven't found the bittorrent experience to be that great - it takes so long to get anything so I'd prefer to do the more traditional trade anyway.
