So Sad...
there's a bit of magic in everything and then some loss to even things out.

"Aw, You shouldn't do that. Don't you know you'll stain the carpet?"

Re: Lou Reed is dead
I am shocked despite the fact that he had a near death experience early this year.
Only yesterday I saw a post concerning Lou's health
http://loureedforum.com/viewtopic.php?f ... adb7ce4462
I had a bad feeling and thought his color didn't look good at all. Seemed like he had hepatitis or jaundiced.
I hate that he never got into the Rock 'N Roll Hall Of Fame as a solo artist despite the fact that he has 22 solo albums, 10 live albums and 31 songs that I know of written about him.
Of all of Lou's brilliant lyrics the one that comes to mind at this time is
I was sitting, drumming, thinking, thumping, pondering The mysteries of life
Outside the city shrieking, screaming, whispering The mysteries of life
There's a funeral tomorrow At St. Patrick's the bells will ring for you
Ah, what must you have been thinking When you realized the time had come for you

Re: Lou Reed is dead
just heard the news 2 hours ago while driving home with my wife after let our daughters to their grand-parents for the holiday
it was raining & blowing like hell here in France when the sweet female voice on the radio annonced that Lou has just passed away at the age of 71 then we softly heard "walk on the wild side" followed by a delicious "here she comes now".My God! I was crying like a kid!
Thank you Lou for all those beautiful songs, it was all right...
