It's not complete but it's as close to complete that we have access to so nobody has ANY right to not be happy with it.
Although FLAC is preferred to SHN, the end results are exactly the same so it's not a problem.
I didn't realise that people had been sending copies on to be honest! Do we know what generation the vine is now?

I don't use MD5 files. The xACT program I use has a "fingerprint" file that it recommends for specific files and I just go along w/ the recommendation. When I used to do .shn's...an eternity ago it seems...it recommended MD5.

MD5 is one of many checksums - something that lets you know whether or not your data has suffered some for of corruption due to any variables (like an HD crash or whatever)mg196 wrote:I don't use MD5 files. But my point is that an MD5 can be used to make sure ANY file on your computer is unaltered.
I can take a document on my computer and make an MD5 for it, then go in and delete ONE letter, and when I go to verify it, it will tell me the file's corrupt!
MD5s rule
I'm sure whatever you use is fine and I'm sure there's a bunch of other stuff out there that works but Trader's Little Helper is what I use--it's what I know about...anyway I just wanted to pass the knowledge on to anyone...
Er...well sorry but I can't hardly understand what you're talking about
It's getting too technical for a french man...
I'm gonna be hasardous on my request: almost 15 years ago I bought
the afterhour tape of the Second Fret shows (Jan. & May '70) directly from the VUAS and I must admit those are my favourites show of the VU live
But don't tell me to transfer it on cd or whatever cause...
So can a grateful soul do a copy of it onto cd, along with "what goes on" from La Cave Groovy was talking about?
Of course, I can sent the blank cd
Thanks

All I was saying was that the version in the vine--"Doug's" version--isn't first gen
So you have a first gen from The VUAS? I, for one, can have it digitized......or maybe mg196 or soemone.....whatever....let's just get this upgrade out there!
