You know what my favorite part of oh sweet nuthin is, besides the guitar line? The drumming. It's sublime.

Said it before and I'll say it again - it's got to be SISTER RAY for me, the original studio blowout. Over those 17 minutes it's got everything I love about the Velvet Underground and more, I listen to it all the time, always gets me. Stupid people say WL/WH isn't well produced, but for me it's perfect!

Well, my favorite song has to be I Can't Stand It. That guitar solo is ... incredible, the lyrics ae gritty and funny, Sterl's playing is kick ass ... my only complaint is the drumming. That doesn't sound like Mo, really. Other than that ... What Goes On, Oh Sweet Nuthin' and Heroin.

My favourite Velvet song will be the next track Rosie Lee gives us (lol). No, I guess it's "Pale blue eyes". But maybe Rosie makes me change my mind...

It is so hard to choose, so I'll only be able to give my top three.
#1) Run Run Run. This one is soooooo cool, the lyrics, the rythm, the guitar (all in mono of course).
#2) White Light White Heat. This is so cool (in mono) The backing vocals are pristine, you camn really hear what they are trying to do with this one. And I love it!!!
#3) Sister Ray. Do I really need to explain this one? Another fan voted for this one, and I agree with what he said, and Ill simply add that this song is the F**king Best, especially at high decibell!!!!!!

for me, it has to be either "lady godivas operation" or "shes my best friend"...or "foggy notion". nevermind. this is impossible; they have such an expansive catalog that i cant possibly determine my true favorite. "after hours" of course is another classic as is "some kinda love". DONT DO THIS TO ME!
