There are two guitars, the rhythm is played by Reed and most people think the lead guitar part is played by Sterling although a recent interview with Cale implies it might have been Reed... The piano and bass are both played by Cale You can find a complete listing of the entire album in this ...

I'm somewhat puzzled by who plays what instrument on 'I'm Waiting For The Man'. I know for sure that Maureen Tucker did the drumming and Lou Reed did the singing. I have read that Lou Reed pounded the piano and John Cale played the bass, wich leaves the guitar to Sterling Morrison. Maybe it's just ...
