2012 Mono Remaster of 'The Velvet Underground'

Post by mboy007 »

Hi,

A while back here someone asked for a re-up of the above and I obliged - just had an email to say the file will expire after 7 days unless someone else downloads it.

So, if anyone wants a copy before it disappears...

All the best,

Boo boo hoo. My heart breaks for you. How about thanking the OP for being nice enough to share it?

Agreed! 30 years ago, the word for someone who looked gift horses in the mouth was "ingrate."

Plus, you are clicking the wrong link if it starts to d/l as an .exe file. It is a .zip file!

Well I also was clicking the wrong button - there are three or so links that all say Download and which can lead to many strange .exes.

That said, I have downloaded it for the sake of preservation so thanks mjg and mboy of course.

It stirs some memories though - back in '71 I had heard of the Velvets but their material was rare on the radio in UK. So I bought this 3rd album on spec for 99 pence in a Woolworths sale. I would play it through two or three times in a row because nothing in my collection could follow it (not the Floyd, nor the Doors , nor even, ahem, the Box Tops).

I'm rambling - stop me someone!

Well, 10 people have grabbed it in the last day or so - glad to share the wealth! Enjoy everyone!

Welcome to the jungle, mboy. In the new age, politeness isn't a consideration. I didn't download it, but thanks on behalf of the board for offering it. :D
