I had not seen this one earlier.

Sounds really good, but I'm confused here, Probably late 69, but the back cover says "Retinal Circus Nov 1969" (Is there such date?), the rtf-file in the downloaded folder says "late 27 & 30 juin 1968" which is clearly incorrect. Any ideas, anyone?
Confused
Re: Confused
It's an old fake of the live 1969 official LP with some crowd noise added.
Re: Confused
It's true it's very well known, you can see on the comments on the blog someone posting the same info.
Re: Confused
Yeah you're right I know. Thank's for reminding me. I remember the older post about it now, and felt stupid about beeing fooled by the boot. I was like Yeah a new tape!!
Re: Confused
We all want new tapes to be released properly from the original plates without edits like the horrible "Anniversary editions" like the Matrix tapes and the other Max's show. Cale and Warhol museum have some too certainly. As Lou is dead now I'm sure some can be now available to the public.

The holy grail would be live VU from summer/fall '68 when Cale was still in the band. I imagine that was probably the pinnacle of the band, musically. Plus they would have been playing a lot of e songs that ended up on the 3rd album and on VU. Imagine Ocean and What Goes On with Cald on organ, and he played viola on Sotry of My Life when they played it live.

Re: Confused
Summer 68. Agreed - the sound of the band in a process of change.. Plus Beginning To See The Light and Foggy Notion. If only we actually knew this stuff existed. Until then it's a bit like fantasy football (only interesting). The sole track we know exists is Walk It and Talk it. Not off the 3rd but...peppergomez wrote:The holy grail would be live VU from summer/fall '68 when Cale was still in the band. I imagine that was probably the pinnacle of the band, musically. Did they ever do Ocean with Cale live? Had it been written then?

For the moment only Cleveland 30/4/1968 emerged but in truncated form : Sweet Sister Ray cut and Heroin from a bootleg LP.
