Hello there,

Downloaded all the zips from the first disc OK.
But have problems unzipping, tried both WinRAR and WinZip, but there seem to problems at the joints of the splitted zips. (error message: corrupted files for ca.half of the tracks)
Do other poeple have same problem? If anybody knows know how to solve please please I really would love to hear all these acetate tracks.

http://www.gmail.com

log on with the account details mentioned above

I used powerarchiver to make the zips so you might have more success with that, although I did test with WinRar and they worked fine.

Good luck!

upsetter... Thanks from an "old guy" I got them all OK. Now I just have to open them up. I can "see" them but can't get at them. I'm having no luck with either winzip or winRAR. Is PowerArchiver a freebie on the internet somewhere?

Uh huh - it's a 30 day trial from http://www.powerarchiver.com/ If it doesn't work then I'd re-download the files it stops on.

Well, I got it and managed to extract only some of the files. I got tracks 1,3, 7, 9, 11, and 13 from disc 1. I got tracks 1, 4, 7, 9, and 13 from disc 2 and tracks 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 11 from disc 3. I get error messages for the rest.

I did notice that file vu-mono&acetates-cd2.z08 was missing from the gmail grouping. I don't know if that would have anything to do with the error messages or not. If anyone can help me work around this I would really appreciate it.

For anyone who's interested:

I've deleted all the files on the account and reuploaded them. They're tested for extract using powerarchiver (see above) and so should work. Hopefully. The fact that files are disappearing would suggest you should download asap if you want a copy.

Upsetter: Thanks for all your efforts. But I guess my computer is just too "jacked up" to extract them correctly. I've been having problems with it, but can't afford to buy a new one just yet.

When I use PowerArchiver I keep getting the following error message.

"Unextpected end of zip file. Probably the file is corrupted or is missing spanned file."

I get about half the tracks and can't seem to be able to get the rest. Man, is it frustrating!!!

Anyway, like I said above... I appreciate your efforts. The problem is probably on my end.
