Yeah sounds great just like it should not the remaster "PCP" version (i did never get it). : ) FLAC rocks. Peace, & Love to who ever put this one there, and to those who made it possible, as well.
Cheers,

I've run a spectral analysis of Track 7 and compared to the tracks which were posted here. There is a substantial loss in terms of quality. My guess is that this is a later generation recording than we are being told. Perhaps even MP3 or MP4 converted to AIFF/WAV and then FLAC.
But whatever, I am grateful for it! The disc is now complete!!!!

Those aren't my findings. My analysis shows the opposite, actually (I can show the pics, if there's some place to post em). We know the other tracks are MP4 and this shows in the analysis, but "track 7" looks to be lossless. No signs of a wall drop off in the high end that comes with MP3/4s. As for how they sound, I find track 7 to have better dynamics. Sure there is more hiss, but that doesn't always mean higher generation. On track 7 there's a spike where the hiss is and on the other tracks, the wall drop off from the MP4 conversion looks to be right before that spike, missing out on all that hiss (and any music info on that area). That and the fact that track 7 is about 6dbs higher would both explain why track 7 sounds a lot more hissy compared to the other tracks. I have no idea of the source or how close to the original CD this track 7 is, but I find it to be a little better in quality and truely lossless, so I'd love to see the full disc posted on Easytree.
I'm also very grateful to those involved in getting all the tracks out in such good quality, regardless of the actual sources. Kills what we had before and does sound quite good. No complaints here.

Track Seven
You know, this is partly the kind of nonsense that will discourage further involvement - from me anyway.Da Missin Trak wrote:I've run a spectral analysis of Track 7 and compared to the tracks which were posted here. For the record - this track comes directly from the original cd - (do we count cdr backup copies as a generation removed from the original too?) If dreaming of a pristine, hiss-free, state-of-the-art rendering of a 40 year old serendipitious recording is what keeps you going, then by all means dream on.
