They are the 'Flowers of Evil' (Max's) performances yes, although released prior to that version, obviously...

I found him! Actually, if you watch the new I-Phone commercial, the one where they "make a video, edit a video, and then send a video" on the I-Phone, you will notice the name on the email that is getting the video is Jamie Klimek! Is the creator of that commercial perhaps a VU fan? That name is not that common. Thoughts?

I tried to contact Jamie Klimek through the Mirrors drummer and film historian Michael Weldon, probably 15 yrs ago at least. JK wanted nothing to do with any VU fans at that time. FWIW i also think the Oct 68 date is the 4th, based on PSAS. I too have the '80s cassette with the extra, much wilder, fast version of WGO, but poorer quality than the rest. I think I digitised it and put it on a 'odds and ends' comp...

If you mean the single that came with the Italian lyric book, the 2.30 version, that is the same source recording as the 1989 single and instrumental versions, but sounds more muffled and lof-fi, fading out earlier...
Still looking for the kvan int? I have that.
Also - the "ampex tape" I think I have that. It's an odd one. On the face of it, alt mixes of the 3Rd lp, but IIRC actually just the same mixes but only the l or r stereo mix folded into 1 mono channel. Really good quality, so probably sourced from the "official" R-R issue (which was on an Ampex tape....)
