Wow, the title of this thread just goes to show you that some people are never satisfied. Rosie gives us one of the greatest bootleg treasures ever and the only thing many people obsess over is the instrumental track that is cut short. I have been listening to this disc constantly and love every minute of it...and I dont think ONCE about some instrumental track! To be honest, I know that I'd never listen to it anyways! It's a damn instrumental track!

There is a fine line between a lover of the music and a "completist." The lover of VU music just enjoys throwing on the LP or popping a disc into the stereo and listening to what comes out of the speakers. I feel that the completist misses out on some of that. The completist obsesses over finding every fraction of a second of recorded music. Every interview, every advertisement, EVERYTHING. "Wow, I love this VU&Nico Remaster, but I really need to get the original LP and the LP with the sticker on the cover and the airbrushed version, and version X has 1.2 extra seconds during the intro..."

I'm sure that the people who have posted complaints and endless questions about "Track 7" may have issues with this post, but I am equally sure that they may sorta see the point I am making. This isnt meant to be a "flame" post. Sometimes it is best to be happy with what you have. Be overjoyed that this disc that the Lady has blessed us with will likely never be equalled instead of finding a flaw in the gift.

personally, i'm happy as heck with what rosie's given us.

i figured this forum's all about information, and knowing stuff about the VU. bottom line is rosie and the museum have the same source, only instead of the track 7 from the museum (5:18 Blues Instrumental), rosie has a track 7 that is a 16 sec excerpt of track 6.

i'm thinking that my source at the museum was pretty cool. perhaps he'd allow the moderator of some site to host one of the tracks from that cd. perhaps they'd let him host track 7. i don't know. just info. no complaint.

i'm goin for a hundred messages. sheesh.
