Has anbody ever heard the mono version of WL/WH??
Does it exist?? What differences are there?

I know the Beatles and Beach Boys mono/stereo releases were a little different.

hi!

this has been discussed a lot - there is a mono version (one sold on UK ebay in VG condition just the other day for a paltry ?39) but it's just a 'stereo fold', not a specific diff mix like the mono first LP.

But - it still sounds a lot different to the stereo (leading to some confusion - on my part at least), just because there's a lot happening in the stereo chaos that sounds more forceful (IMO) when it's all stuck onto one channel.

Wow! thanks for the info. You are all very helpful.
I was one of those kids in the 80's whose life was changed forever after being turned on to the Velvets. ( my life was saved by rock and roll).
I've got all the lp's, then the PSAS box, and various boots.

Now my next question is pretty obivious, is there a torrent for this, is it freely shared or do you have to search it out for top $$$.

That last post was me.

I did a search and found the link for the torrent on Demoniod.

I hope it is still active.

Thanks again.

Actually the UK got stock copies of WLWH in mono and to me it sounds like a proper mix not a stereo fold like the US promo. The vinyl is nice and heavy with a deep groove. Side 2 is particlarly good .
