BTP 10.1.69 - Hidden brief instrumental

Post by jimjim »

Posted this on the torrents topic but no-one's responded. Downloaded the original ripped-from-vinyl torrent on DaD of this show and right at the start of 'Beginning..' there's this 15-30 sec instrumental that I've not heard before (and I know a lot about the VU). It sounds like it's been slotted in there as the ambience of it is different from the rest of the show and there is a gap before BTSTL starts (it's still a rough sounding recording).

It doesn't sound like a VU track or a typical jam snippet from 66. In fact, I don't think its the VU at all. Can anyone shed any light?

Could you maybe upload it somewhere so we can have a stab at identifying it?

All done. It's listed in the 'Files' section under 'Mystery VU Track'.

God knows... don't think it's the VU, although the organ sounds slightly Cale-like. The guitar is more like Jandek or something.

Sorry, not a clue. Nor have the musicians on it, by the sound of it.
