VU At the Factory: Warhol Tapes

So, I had put up this liberated Japanese bootleg set overnight at DIME/EZT, but the seed has been banned by the mods because, as I pointed out myself in the info-file and as people had suspected around here, it is based on the mp4-files that were so kindly circulated round here (except for track 7, which was later kindly seeded on DIME/EZT).
Here's the info-file that came with the seed. Are people still interested in this? Should I perhaps upload it to one of the lossless Usenet-groups? This bootleg really needs to be liberated, as it is seriously flawed!! Do not buy this one, folks!

Here's a new Japanese bootleg that came out shortly after the "Ultimate Mono & Acetates" triple CD-set. Both releases are the work of the same company - you can tell not just from the bootleg company (Nothing Songs Limited) but also from the incredibly amateurish way in which they master their bootlegs. But I'll get to that in a second. First, the good news: this bootleg contains early rehearsal & concert recordings of the Velvet Underground in very good sound quality. Three sources were used:

3. Rhythm & Blues Instrumental
4. Run Run Run intro to Miss Joanie Lee
5. Day Tripper intro to Boom Boom Boom Boom Instrumental
6. Rockabilly Instrumental
7. Blues Instrumental
8. Heroin (preceded by a snatch of Little Richard's 'Long Tall Sally')
9. There She Goes Again
10. Green Onion
11. There She Goes Again (Nico on vocals!)
II. Up Tight Performance at the Cinematheque, NYC, February 6, 1966
12. Heroin
13. I'll Keep It With Mine
14. European Son/Suzie Q
III. Rehearsal in the Factory before the Exploding Plastic Inevitable tour, March 7, 1966
15. Get It On Time
16. I'll Be Your Mirror
These recordings are just as crucial a document of the VU's early history (pre-Banana album) as the recently surfaced Norman Dolph acetate. However... all sixteen tracks, bar one (track 7), are sourced from lossy mp4-files that were distributed some time ago among the users of a VU-dedicated message board. Still, since they are the only available source in this superior (soundboard) quality, and since they have been put out on a commercial bootleg (which is now being liberated), I have decided to seed this disc.
Now, as for the remastering mentioned above:
- I have deleted all small gaps between the tracks, resulting from the mp4-files (the bootleggers didn't bother to remove them);
- I have also smoothened some track transitions and completely redone the track splits;
- I have removed the DC-offset present in all tracks;
- finally I have replaced track 7, as included on the CD, with the recording from the FLAC-file that was seeded by someone earlier this year on this very forum - the same lossless file which was clearly also appropriated by the bootleggers, but which they managed to (pardon the technical jargon) f*** up completely in the process. To illustrate this, I'll upload sample mp3-files of the track as included on the disc [07 - Instrumental - Clean Museum (FLAWED)] and of the originally seeded track [07 - Blues Instrumental (BEST)] so that you all can check out the butcher job done by the thieving bootleggers (Please note: the title "Instrumental - Clean Museum" was not given by me, but is the one given by the EAC-database... pretty ironic, I say).
- I have also done some "clipped peak restoration" to the improved track 7 and reduced the level by 0.6 dB, in order to bring it more in line with the other tracks on the CD; because of this minor editing, I have decided to include the originally seeded FLAC-file in this torrent, for those who may have missed it the last time.
I'll grant the bootleggers one thing: their artwork is superb. I have included full scans - including one of the bonus CD-R which contains an "edited demo copy" of the Norman Dolph acetate (this is definitely a lot cleaner than the source used for the "Mono & Acetates" set, but unfortunately cannot be seeded here due to DIME/EZT's strict regulations).
