Missing songs from 4-30-68?

Most of us have "Sweet Sister Ray" and "Heroin" from 4-30-68, but what happened to the rest of the set?
(from Olivier's site)
documented by Live '68 bootleg LP liner notes: "Recorded Sun, Apr 30, 1968 [Ed. note: Er... sorry but April 30, 1968 wasn't Sunday but Tuesday...]. Lou is playing his hot rodded Gretsh White Falcon (emblazoned with a sticker that read: Caution! K-9 Corps). Sterling his Gibson and Cale on viola. This was the last song in an afternoon set that consisted of Sweet Sister Ray (39 min) segueing into Sister ray, Mr. rain, Venus in Furs, and Heroin."

I believe the story is that the taper's sister recorded over the missing tracks. D'oh!

or there's another one about Lou's sister who erased it at the very beginning of Sister Ray

I seem to recall a tale that Lou asked to borrow the tape and when it was returned the Sister Ray portion had been erased..
Although i've never believed it those bootleggers would make up any ol' tale to make it sound more 'exotic' - aka "this demo was found in Sterlings closet after his death" yeah right..

Time ago, I contacted someone who was friend of Jamie Klimek. I asked him thru his friend about the missing songs. Klimek confirmed that he handed the original tape to Lou and that Lou returned the full tape to him on next visist to La Cave (oct 68). Unfortunatelly, and years later, his young sister erased everything but Heroin, Sweet Sister Ray and the first 5 min of Sister Ray from the original tape.
After 37 years we are still missing a Sister Ray live performance with Cale

Wasn't he playing with them when they were at La Cave on April 30, 1968? There is a version of Sweet Sister Ray going around from that show -- Twisted Stars, etc.

I think the point Alfredovu was making is that there is the live version of
Sweet Sister Ray featuring Cale, but not of Sister Ray itself.
I'm sure I read on a thread a while ago that Jamie Klimek
did have a full copy of the April 68 tape, plus others from La Cave, but was so pissed off with the way the bootleggers who put out 'Live 68' treated him that he swore never to realease his other recordings. Does that ring any bells with anybody?
I guess the only other hope is that Lou took a copy of the April 68 tape before giving it back to Jamie...

Last five minutes or so of Sweet Sister Ray are "Sister Ray": depending on the bootleg some includes the two fisrt verses of the song, others cut the song after the third verse. From memory: the cd available versions are the longer.
I was informed time ago that Mr. Reed has nothing.

Are you sure about this? - I have the 2LP, which fades just as the SR riff begins, and the version on Twisted Stars, which I don't remember being substantially longer.

Will check this out again, but from memory the 2LP version includes: "Duck & Sally Inside - They´re cookin´for the downfive" and the 2CD version of "Sweet Sister Ray" ends on the third line.
