This is my first post in the forum, long time fan--just wondering if anyone out here has an mp3 of "last night I said goodbye to my friend." The song Lou, John and Mo sang for Sterling at the Hall of Fame. I haven't been able to find it on any boots. Just wondering.

This song was performed by John Cale, Lou Reed and Moe Tucker in honor of Sterling Morrison for the Velvet Underground Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony on January 18, 1996. That song is now available on the unofficial Caught Between The Twisted Stars 4-CD set.

I have Caught Between The Twisted Stars (the song is on disc 4). I can burn a copy if you'd like one.
