March '75 issue. Wow, Morrissey is a dick! A least there is a load of 70's hotties to make the issue worthwhile!!

"Students in any society shouldn't be listened to. They stand in line in the mud at rock festivals, like cattle. They'll get in a que for a movie the way cockroaches go to the corner of a room. The quality of education they get in the United States is worse than apalling. It's a big joke."

I think there's a whole psuedopunk attitude, trying to come off as offensive, and a sort of truth to the whole matter with kids who would buy into fests and flicks just because it was hip and not because it was their happening.

The interviewer stated that the whole "interview" was more like a monologue on the part of Morrissey. I have always had the impression that Morrissey HATED Warhol. He never came out and said he hated him (to my knowledge, anyways), but I feel that his hate stems from the inability to escape the shadow cast by Warhol.

Nico was actually at the interview!

It's a very very worthwhile read, so if you get the chance, grab it off eBay! Plus, it brings back memories of digging in your Dad's dirty mag stash! Damn, now I remember what REAL tits looked like!

Well, that's not really surprising considering that (a) Morrissey directed all those movies whereas Andy merely produced them and yet (b) everybody always calls them WARHOL movies.

That's bound to grate, just as it would with Lou and John when the banana LP were consistently called a Warhol product too. I for one am glad that, despite the heavy Warhol association, in the public eye the band itself is credited for the LP, not Warhol (even though in the Sixties everybody thought of it as yet another Warhol digression).

Nevertheless, considering all Morrissey's negative comments on just about everyone in the Factory scene, yes, he is something of an arsehole (or a very big sourpuss at least). You wonder why he stuck around...

What's so offensive about that?
