The Thirty-Second and last match of the First Round is between
Pale Blue Eyes (off The Velvet Underground / 1969 / Live at Max's / Live MCMXCIII)
and

This set was a tough choice. I went with Stephanie Says because the song holds mystery...who is Stephanie...I've always wondered. And why does she have so much regret?

I think Stephanie Says is my favorite Velvet Underground song. Anyone seen the Royal Tanenbaums? They play it in a scene that shows a flashback of this girl's tragic lonely early adulthood years of making out with strangers in dark buses... It fits the mood so perfectly, it's heartbreaking. Great soundtrack, btw... it also had another VU song (Sunday Morning if I remember correctly), and a Nico song.

Love that movie.
Do you know the scene where the Owen Wilson character is blowing lines at his house. Is it just me or does the painting behind him look like Lou Reed?

That big surreal painting on the wall that depicted some sort of violent situation? I didn't see the faces on it closely. It seemed like the kind of crappy post-cubist token art that a peyote addict like him would own.
You know, that movie has so many little details like that if you look closely.
