Hey all!!

Just wondering...I have a series of VU boots to share, and if there is enough interest I will load them in FLAC format, one per week, in the new Velvet Undergound room at Soulseek.

Here is the boot, if anyone is interested please drop me an email at newworldpart1@aol.com and I'll get the room started up:

DIARIES, NOTES AND SKETCHES
1. Untitled jam track / 2. Andy Warhol says (0:58) / 3. [cut] Venus In Furs (1:48) / 4. Heroin [cut] (1:56) 5. I'll Be Your Mirror (fuzz-guitar overload version) (1'49) / 6. Untitled (jam track) (24'36) / 7. Heroin (5:14) / 8. Venus In Furs (3:24) / 9. Radio ad (13 sec)

1. Factory, NYC 1/66 Soundtrack to Warhol film "The Velvet Underground And Nico: A Symphony Of Sound" (NOTE: This is the edited version from the 2nd reel) / 2-4: 2/7/66 NYC USA Artists TV Show / 5-6: The Dom, NYC 4/66 Soundtrack to Jonas Mekas' film "Diaries, Notes And Sketches" / 7-8: Poor Richard's, Chicago Ill. 6/23/66 from soundtrack to Ronald Nameth's film "Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable" / 9. Radio Ad for the Trip, Los Angeles, source unknown broadcast 5/3/66

You new to download Soulseek, start it up, right click on the rooms and select "refresh room list". You'll see the room listed as "Velvet Underground".

I have lots of other exciting VU stuff I'll be sharing there too in the future!! By the way, Soulseek is a p2p and anyone can share anything they want. Maybe someone can put up the Rosie Lee tapes? I need the last track if so ;-)

Anyway, please let me know if there is any interest, and we'll get cranking!!

Thanks!!--Scott

Scott - yes please, that would be wonderful.

Gwest - is that honestly the most intelligent thing you could think of to say? Fucking prick.

Does it matter? I've seen this guy's list and as far as I'm concerned he can use whatever the hell he wants, so long as I get to hear it!

It seems I'm not the only one who's starting to get a bit tired of this joke so why not consider letting it go already and maybe posting with one of the two user names you have already registered as well...?

Soulseek is a VERY good program. If you have slsk and BT, you can acquire anything.

Trouble is, when there's no one in a room on Soulseek, the room vanishes. Try tomorrow - I'll probably be logged in for most of the day and I have the files. The room is 'THE Velvet Underground'.

It's excellent stuff by the way. All speed-corrected and the best-sounding, most complete versions of any of this material that I've heard (with the exception of the Symphony of Sound track which is only the first half-hour or so). For example, the Poor Richard's material is better than on the 'A Walk With...' set and has Cale introducing 'Venus In Furs'. Nice!
