Do you ever take breaks from certain VU albums?

Post by Stephen Says »

I do it to keep them from getting stale. It seems that if I listened to them every time I had the urge to, they would lose a lot of their freshness. I've gone a couple months now without listening to the third album, and I'm just starting to force myself to stop listening to the second one. There's enough live/rare material to replace them with for a while. I think it's important to do this, for the same reason it's important not to listen to the radio if you like Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin. Too much of any music can totally ruin it.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Although it's more albums as a whole; my MP3 playlist stays more or less the same.

Well, I don't listen to any one band every day or every week or every month anyway so I guess I do take breaks.
