I got a VHS copy from VUAS 15 years ago or so ... I have not seen it for years!

Papaya says "How long are the versions circulating around?"
I've got it on the bootleg DVD 'THE VELVET UNDERGROUND VOLUME ONE - Symphony in Sound and Moe in Bondage'. I presume it's from the VHS tapes in circulation.
That version seems to be just over 28 minutes long.
You still looking for it?

THE V.U. aka MOE GETS TIED UP (1966, sound, 66 mins. Dir: Andy Warhol)
These intriguing reels were also filmed for use as background projections during the Velvets' live shows, but with Warhol's Auricon camera, which recorded a live soundtrack as it ran. Shot on a staged "set" at Warhol's Factory, the band enact an improvised psychodrama in which Reed, Cale and Morrison bind drummer Maureen Tucker to a chair with ropes and proceed to torment her with whips and food. There is no music in this minimal narrative, but much to analyze, in a fascinating discovery for dedicated Lou Reed/VU fans.
This from THE VELVET UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL -- RE-LOADED, Moore College of Art & Design program.
Notice the time given. It was a two-reel set for double screen projection.

And this is the info from Olivers site:
Andy Warhol, B&W, sound, 35 minutes, 1966
Notes: this is a two-reel set for double screen projection. In this film, Moe Tucker sit tied up with ropes, while Lou Reed, Sterling Morrison and John Cale play with food and monkey around. Unofficial video copies are circulating.

Re: Searching for Moe in Bondage film
Easier if I can just copy the entire VIDEO-TS file for this boot DVD and scan artwork.
At the moment I'm having trouble copying a couple of the .vob files, but I'm on it. Can then post on RS.
All pretty new to me so give me a couple of days.

If the Moe in bondage is on this, it could provide the best copy.
The 3 volume Anonymous Films set is uneven quality, and some footage is repeated on different volumes. I tired to detail what is on each once and was so confused with mis-named titles etc. that I gave up. There is another "bootleg" dvd that circulated on eBay a few years ago, and I can't remember the name, but it had most available vu footage. I will go digging into my archives in the next day or so and may be able to provide what you need.
There used to be a great site linked from Olivers page that did a pretty good job of listing all the VU video known to exist, http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Un ... ground.htm But like so many sites, no longer exists. I so wish I had copied some of these sites when they were available. If anybody knows who had this site, and if it is relocated that would be great. I once ran down the guy who had the VU/Lou bootleg cover art sites, got his website sent to me on cd's and found someone to host it online again. I'm sure the same could be done with the video site.
