Hey Discos, go to this thread from June- "Sundazed - The Velvet Underground - Singles 1966-99".

what's to say? It looks great - I'll be buying a copy because I have a "soft spot" for vinyl 45s. It will cost only a fraction of what it cost me to assemble my collection of "original" VU 45s......

It's a lovely set and it is really neat to hear the VU-1 radio spot without all the crackling of previous transfers.
The single version of "I Heard Her Call My Name" is nuts!

I never noticed that thread before. So, how do these tracks sound? Was a lot of effort put into 'em, or were they pretty much as we've all heard them before (other than the radio spot).

guess what? The sundazed set is out early! I got mine in post today. Very nice, only complaints are, they come in plain brown sleeves, why no Verve and MGM sleeve copies? and again, why not stock labels instead of promo's? Other than that, it is a beautiful set, nice box and labels and it is really nice to see the 3rd album promo sleeve and the holy grail ATP picture sleeve. I have a question, the sleeves are flat rather than glossy. I have never seen the originals up close, are they flat or glossy? :?: :?:
PS I think this set is VERY reasonably priced; they could have asked $75 and probably would have gotten it. Nice that they aren't greedy.

How is the sound? All true mono mixes?
