I'm tempted to vote for Joe Strummer as a sentimental gesture. He was one of a kind, still regret the loss.

But to be honest, the last thing I wanna see is another miserable "rock list" in some desperately hip magazine.

Not quite sure the point of that,but somehow Iggy fits the bill as "ultimate icon" for me, if they are looking for the cliched Dionysan rock figure.
