Some time ago on another board, a dude named Joe Viglione commented that he was writing a book about the RnR ANimal Tour. Has anyone heard ANYTHING regarding this? Or Viglione?

And also, wasnt Street Hassle supposed to be remastered this year?

Viglione put out the Moe/Jonathan Richman single of "I'm Stickin With You" c1980. Big Lou/VU fan.
I think he is also synth2000, abuser of our Rosie; banned from this board and from the jimjims Yahoo group. He is a music writer/DJ, in the Boston area I think.

Uh - everything you never wanted to know: http://www.varulven.com/joeviglione.html

You think he's synth2000? I am not so sure about that. Of course it's only speculation, but if synth2000 is a writer/producer type then he really writes and researches like crap! Most of the stuff synth wrote was wrong and written very poorly.

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who has witnessed the trouble caused by Viglione in various LR/VU-related newsgroups and mailing lists over the years.

One of the things I can say about this character is that he likes to blow his own trumpet. Also, for a self-proclaimed 'writer' his skills in written expression leave a lot to be desired. As far as I can work out, the only stuff he writes is for his own website(s), which he frequently touts in off-topic posts that have no bearing on any topic being discussed.

Another is that he has been banned from various groups, and numerous complaints to his ISPs have resulted in the loss of more than one of his accounts.

He appears to suffer from a severe personality disorder, and his frequent spiteful and abusive outbursts (many of which are conducted using bogus email accounts) at first appear entertaining to the unintiated, but soon become tedious if not distressing.

Most of his posts are self-indulgent drivel, the ramblings of a self-obsessed nearly-was who cannot come to terms with being a nearly-was-been (he can't have been a 'has-been' without being a 'has' at some point), and he constantly recycles anecdotes, talking up his own importance, knowledge and 'connections' and drops the same names ad nauseum (usually the name of some third-rate hooker-groupie turned 'rock wife' of someone you haven't heard of).

If he ever writes a book and is then able to get the money together to pay someone to publish it, you probably wouldn't want to read it.

You seem to be very narrative, so why do you appear as guest? Do you have to hide your identity?
Are you maybe Dennis?! The guy who had a long term struggle with Joe?!

On second thoughts, don't answer that...
