Deluxe "Songs For Drella" wrongly credited this p?c as VU at the Bizarre.

I have found a full set of these pictures by Billy Name crediting them to The Cheetah 1966 (date is wrong as the VU played this gig April 11th 1967 as per Olivier“s )

I think they are great and we finally know excact location for this "famous" pic!

And this is Andy, Ondine at the Cheetah ... and the guy in the middle is not the same person as the one on the handbill??

Very cool pics!!! Can anyone make out the name on Moe's drum? It looks to me like it says "MIKE" or "LUKE" or something like that. And the second word underneath it seems as it it is"ST." This makes no sense to me. Can anyone fill me in on what it says or what it means and why?

It says Mike St. Shaw. His band were the Prophets, who appear to have been the house band at the Cheetah:

His previous band was the Mike St. Shaw Trio:

I've got an album called something like 'Live at the Cheetah' which I remember as a various artists comp from around that period. I'll try and drag it out this weekend to see who's performances are on it (DEFINITELY NO VU :( )
