In my usual absent/random way I was thinking about Ray Campisi's photo(s) of the band at the Boston Tea Party that you may remember.... Actually I was listening to a few tracks from Lou's 1st LP last weekend, and the horror of the front cover led me to pay more attention to the back, which includes a Campisi photo of Lou (looks like one of the published VU pics with the rest of the band painted out).

My mission before 9am this morning was to find Campisi.
I quickly discovered that
a) he was in the ace Boston band the Rockin' Ramrods
b) he founded a college radio station in 1964 and
c) since 1968 he has co-run a car was in his native Boston:

I am now thinking of contacting him to maybe ask him about the BTP and the VU and his photos. Is there anything you want to know? It might make a cute addition to Arjan's website maybe??

ask if he has any more photos for sale. The only two I know of his are that great one of Moe mid pound and another of the entire gray album era band in the same set. any others? (besides the 'Lou Reed'?)

Can you ask him how much a full valet is? My car needs a good clean..

I'd be glad to host any resulting interview but there's little I can think of to ask him except the usual: how he got to know them/work with them, what he thought of them , &c.

uh - I sent him an email but he didn't reply....
