John Cale, Errols, Gothenburg, Sweden 9 Dec. 1985 RESEED

Here's my small contribution to the Cale/Ollie flood. This was recorded by nilssound and was posted by him to DIME in 2006. Machen reseeded this show in 2010, and here it is again for
those who missed. For a 1985 Walkman recording this sounds great; the audio is...how would you say..."compact," but the mix is very good and it has the right crunch to it. I verified the checksum--all is a-ok and all files are intact and unchanged vis-a-vis the previous offering. Cale was joking around when he announced the personnel; I couldn't make out his reference to the bass player, though he also credited himself for that. He also credited Ollie with Drums and Tooley with Guitar; perhaps he was preparing a side-career in stand-up. Given what was audible I think it would be safe to peg the lineup as follows:

John Cale - vocals, guitar, keyboards
Ollie Halsall - guitar
David Young - bass
Kevin Tooley - drums

Any surprise corrections will be welcomed and promptly applied.

Copied below are nilssound's original notes.

Enjoy and don't get lost in the flood...

This is my first live recording with my (then) brand new Walkman.
It is from the legendary "Errols" in Gothenburg. It was a
very small place and I think you can hear that in the recording.
Cale introduced the band at the end of "Hedda Gabler", but I´m not sure
what he is saying. If anyone can tell, please do.
The bandintroduction is on attachment #1.
Tape flip between 203 and 204.
This recording is previously uncirculated.

A very primitive artwork is included in torrent. Any improvement is apprecieted.
