If you haven't heard these (but you probably have), then check out

Tape 5 is a favourite; you can hear the Velvets play an unknown (for me, at least) jam, then a short Waiting for the man (with Cale on viola!) and a very nice I'll be your mirror (with Nico). There are VU fragments on some of the other tapes too, I think. Fantastic documents for the Warhol/VU nut!

Conrad teaches Media Studies at SUNY Buffalo. I finished my degree there last year and always meant to chat with him. He was the "academic mentor" of Mercury Rev. (Lots to say about this band who are sometimes great and sometimes so-so. Should be a box reissue of several albums by them this year.

It's a CD that the Andy Warhol Museum put out called "Andy Warhol From Tapes: Sounds of his Life and Work", it came with the first book/catalogue that the A W M did in '94. I think they also sold it separately.

I can scan the CD label - it looks like this
http://www.imageexchange.com/shop/media/6235.jpg
, there isn't any cover artwork as the CD is inlaid in the cover of the book.
I can list the details of the 17 tracks if they are needed - but I'm busy right now (or at least I should be) so I don't have time. Maybe monday night?
