Hello fans. My brother passed away Oct '23 and left behind a recollection of 2600 albums. In them I came across a White Light White Heat that was signed by Lou Reed. My brother was such a music lover and while we are selling his whole collection, I'd love for this one to go to someone who would really love it. Two questions - I cannot find which specific album this is (details below) - can anyone help? And secondly, I know there's no way to guarantee, but is there a good place to sell it so it goes to a true fan and not someone who's just someone who's looking to hold on to it and make some money?

Matrix / Runout side 2: S1022 MG1259 and appears to have a sideways, stand-alone S

Maybe this one. You don’t mention the colour of the label. But I think the matrix matches. The one I link is a 1968 yellow label promo

The pure black cover is odd

other than it not having the black over-print, is it like this one, with the title close to the top and V/5046 at the bottom left?



According to the discogs database there is only one pressing with S1021 and S1022 in the runouts, which is the yellow promo label one. It has 'Disc Jockey Record NOT FOR SALE' on the label.

Discogs is usually pretty accurate on rare records, but there are often oddities and inconssistencies - for example, I have a yellow label promo copy but mine has the S1022 part of the matrix /runout on side 2, but it's very faint, and a totally different runout starting with the words 'Side One...' on the other side - I never noticed that the discogs entry is slightly different before, but it also shows Discogs is not always right, or at least they don't have all the variations of a given LP listed.

I would say it could be one of this 70´s pressings in the Black Verve Label and Mono-Stereo mess.
