Third Man Records January issue #19 of their in-house Maggot Brain magazine is a VU special

Not got a copy yet (and it's sold out in the UK, so I'm waiting for my copy to ship from Berlin) but the website says:

ON THE COVER

THE VELVET UNDERGROUND
Lost in Sound–Multiple features on your favorite band, with rare images and cool ephemera throughout.
Here Come The Tapes: A Guide To The Velvet Underground’s Live Tape Stash by Tyler Wilcox.

PLUS full length reviews of new reissues of cassette tapes by ur-VU drummer Angus MacLise, and a lengthy appreciation by Stephen Thomas Erlewine of Light in the Attic’s excellent pre-VU Lou Reed set.

But on Facebook I've also seen Rolling Stone writer Pat Thomas saying
In 1993, I was living in Germany when the Velvet Underground passed through and I interviewed John, Sterling, and Moe. A year later, in San Francisco, I did the most extensive interview anyone has ever done with Doug Yule. All of that is now gathered together in this new issue!
In the comments thread, someone bemoans Doug's absence from the recent VU documentary and Pat says Doug refused to take part, because he was "done with talking about the Velvet Underground"

I hadn't seen those Pat Thomas interviews before. They're both really great.

Just got my copy today. It's very nicely done, good print quality, well worth having.
If you're in the US, the cheapest place to order from seems to be Dusty Groove.

Note that the Pat Thomas interview of Doug Yule has appeared online before, and his 1993 piece on the reunion was previously printed in Terrascope. Still very glad I got this (despite having Terrascope, etc.)

The "Here comes the tapes" article about live recordings will probably not reveal much to members of this board, EXCEPT there is a photo of a 1/4" reel-to-reel tape of the psychiatrist convention belonging to a "collector who chooses to remain anonymous".
Is this something that is known and I missed the memo? I don't recall ever hearing about the existence of a recording of the Delmonico.
Thoughts?

I certainly wasn't aware of a Delmonico's recording.

I got mine from Juno. So no need to go to Germany for Uk dwellers.

I suppose we’ll never hear the Delmonico tape but I wonder what the set list was. Interesting that the owner shared a photo of the tape with the writer, but they were not invited to listen to it, nor told what was on it.
