I've come across an interesting article, from a 2019 edition of the Dallas Morning News, that offers some background on the great footage, rediscovered around that time, of the VU performing at the city's Moratorium Day rally:

Included there is a link to the YT file of the entire reel of rediscovered footage -- which some might be familiar with as other, shorter and silent versions were the only ones available for a while. Among the illustrations is a photo of the video reel and this ad, which I'd never seen before:

I got curious about the building that houses the the platform the bands played from at that event. It looks like a frathouse, yet is in a public park. I've found a couple of links that give more info:
