Not sure I understand the talk about it being "lost". Hasn't it more-or-less been available on VHS all this time?
Haven't seen it since back-in-the-day.

It was mastered from film onto video and shown on UK tv (C4), but a 1990 video transfer would be low res compared to a new transfer from the film. The original film elements were lost by the director and separated from the soundtrack. He found a negative during a lockdown clearout and then matched it to a soundtrack from another source.
