Cale mentioned it in the 2021 interview in VU's Ultimate Music Guide, don't remember having seen this mentioned here before, so searched for it.
Never heard of Waka Flocka Flame before [don't really keep track with new music/artists as much as before].

Well...the risk of using samples that outshine the new original material laid over it are that it makes the listener want to stop listening to the track and go back and listen to the source song that was sampled.
