John Cale & Friends - July 1976 - Ocean Club 1st of MASTER

John Cale & Friends - July 1976 - Ocean Club, Lower Manhattan, NYC, NY (first copy of The Grape master AUD)
CONTRAST CLAUSE:
This is a different file set of a gig that is currently being seeded (a direct copy of a silver disc bootleg CD) and @ (a retracked & balanced version of the former). This one has known lineage and is from a reel-to-reel copy of the master cassette, so I figured it might be a worthwhile addition.
------------------------
Given the considerable interest in this particular concert from the Summer of '76 I've been doing some digging in my archives and I've come up with this gem from the halcyon days of Sharing The Groove, Dime's illustrious predecessor. In May of 2004 the taper of this show, The Grape, seeded shn-files made from a reel-to-reel copy of his master cassette. Those original files are long gone (in my collection, anyway), but I've made a secure EAC-rip of the CD-R copy I burnt at the time (log file included) AND I still had the original info-file on an old computer. All this is coming your way now if you decide to participate in this torrent.
At the bottom, I'm quoting The Grape's original notes. Many thanks to him for taping in the first place and for sharing his recording all those years ago!

Notes:
I remember this being a difficult show to tape. The Lower Manhattan Ocean Club was very trendy. I don't think there were a lot of seats inside. Maybe 20 tables for dinner. I was trying very hard to be discrete. I am sorry about the abrupt cuts between songs. The last song trails off. I think I taped another show earlier in the evening and may have run out of batteries.
