If Squeeze were released on CD...

For discussion of all aspects of the New York legends.

If Squeeze were released on CD, either as a Doug Yule album or as a VU album, would you buy it?

If Squeeze were released on CD...

OK Everyone...

If Squeeze were released on CD, whether released under the name "Doug Yule" or "The Velvet Underground", would you buy it?

Yeah, I think probably so. Never heard it, always been curious. Most seem to think that if you disassociate it from The Velvets and take it on it's own terms, it's a pleasant little record.

It'll never happen, though. You know, too bad they couldn't have included it in Final VU. Never got that one either.

Yes, I have a copy of it (downloaded, of course) but I don't think I'd buy it. I have it more as a curiosity than anything else. I'd say it's only an OK bunch of songs. Not bad, but nothing outstanding either.

I'd probably buy it, though I wouldn't mind one of those burned copies that are floating around on Ebay. I'd like to hear more from Doug anyway.

I have it on vinyl so I wouldn't buy it again, but I do kind of like it.
It's very short! Maybe some extras would convince me.

I might, but would actually be turned off more if it was labeled as a velvets album.

Depends who was actully getting the money I spent on it!! 8-)

I would buy it...I've not heard it and have decided already that I would hate it but I'd still like to give it a chance as a record even though it has no chance at all as a Velvet Underground record.

The poll should have "maybe" as a 3rd option. I've had the vinyl for a long time and I've probably played it twice. But then if the CD had lots of extras and nice packaging, then maybe... Of course, it'll never happen.

No. I don't even think I'd download it.
