Stunning, beautiful... like hearing it for the first time. Like hearing Sister Ray for the first time. Sal, thank you. The importance of this material is just huge. This would sell A LOT more copies than the Quine Tapes. Put it this way: if I wanted to turn somebody on to the VU, I would reach for the Matrix Tapes first. Without a doubt.

Sal, could you tell us more about the tracklisting
please? I know that around these times they played
stuff like "sad song", "sweet bonnie brown" or "lonely saturday night"
Have you got information about that?
Thanks a lot

I've downloaded it but I can't extract the file ( it's empty?). So, is someone able to tell me what are the tracks in this one? Are they the missing tracks of the Matrix ? :
14. So Kinds Of Love (2:07) [previously unreleased]
15. There She Goes (1:21) [previously unreleased]
Tell me please
Thanks!

It's not empty, and as far as your question about the tracklist, it's just Sister Ray

It's really amazing how clear the vocals are. I do think that the tracks would benefit from some low end EQ though to bring out more of the bass and give the drums more bottom.
