FROM EMAIL NEWSLETTER #1:
The next step towards the realisation of our live show is to launch a website, and release promotional videos to help spread the word about our work, and help us obtain funding & assistance to organise and promote a show in London.

None of us are in this for profit, but we ARE concerned with quality.
If it transpires that there is only enough demand for a 'one-off' show, we want to make that show the experience of a lifetime for every person in attendance. If we can make it a semi-regular occurrence, then even better!

The project is complex because there are so many areas to address such as selecting right venue (something akin to The Dom, or The Gymnasium), designing an incredible light show, and inviting guest performers (for instance to perform the parts of Nico).

We also plan to have the event professionally filmed (and possibly as a live album recorded), to document what we are confident will be an incredible experience for us and our audience; furthering the bands legacy, and introducing their music to a new audience.

While rock and roll no longer dominates the musical or cultural landscape as it once did, we wish to revitalise the seminal music of the Velvet Underground as faithfully as we possibly can - our intention is that if you were to squint your eyes, you could almost believe you really were in the Lower East Side in 1967, or the Boston Tea Party in 1969, watching the real Velvets.

To succeed in this endeavour, we need support and backing.
Our current promotional strategy is largely focussed on YouTube, although we now have a mailing list and may branch out with other social media as well.
Anything you can do to help, such as sharing our promotional videos, and spreading the word to other people you think may be interested in the show, would be invaluable to us.

So far we have been financing everything ourselves, but starting a project like this and getting it off the ground is a costly process; we have spend many thousands of pounds/dollars already on equipment and rehearsals.

If you would like to contribute in any way small or large to this project (or even if you have found Cam’s documentaries and tutorials to be valuable), please feel free to donate to our cause via our Ko-Fi page: https://ko-fi.com/camforrester

We thank you for your support, and look forward to bringing you further news!
Much love,
Cam, Bobby, Kyle and Ella x

It's just a matter of when, rather than if, at this point!
We'd love nothing more than to see you there...but equally, we're really hoping to find some backing/funding so that we can play in NYC too! Especially as our guitarist grew up in Manhattan, not far from St. Marks Place! So if there's a way, we'll find it! 8-)
